Hi there, Iβm Jade πΈ
Located in the DC/VA Area, you can find me working as a consultant and freelance UX/UI Strategist. Iβm an interdisciplinary designer with a B.S. in Informatics from UC Irvine β a major spanning HCI, design, and human behavior β with a minor in Sociology. That combination shapes how I approach design: the socio-technical aspect of a userβs experience is just as important as the product itself.
Outside of design Iβm:
Trying out creative DIY projects Iβve bookmarked π¨
Cafe hopping with friends βοΈ
Learning how to play pickleball π
Analyzing viral publicized social experiments (reality TV) ποΈ
Adding to my blindbox and sticker collections βοΈ

My Design Origin Story π¦Έπ»ββοΈ
Design has always been instinctive for me β long before I knew what UX was, I was obsessing over Google Slides layouts while everyone else just threw text on a blank slide. I cared about where things lived on a page, how they felt to look at, and whether everyone in the room felt included by what I made.
That instinct found a name when my sister, who works in tech, introduced me to UX design. I started having coffee chats with designers at Meta, AT&T, and DIRECTV β and quickly realized this was the intersection I'd been gravitating toward my whole life: technology, people, and the spaces between them.
I studied Informatics at UCI with a minor in Sociology, which shaped how I think about design β not just as a visual craft, but as a way of understanding behavior and building things that work for everyone.
